“a clear sighted post modernist, Tanowitz’s studious, deliberate dismantling of traditional balletic movements produces a stream of provocative fresh juxtapositions" - The New Yorker

Known for her abstract movement vocabulary created by pushing the confines of classical dance vocabulary, Pam Tanowitz’s Be In the Gray With Me is both beautiful and awkward. Working with eight performers and projection, this work shows the audience virtuosity on and off the stage.

For Be in the Gray with Me Pam Tanowitz collaborates with composer Dan Siegler and Lighting/Production designer Philip Trevino. Performers include Dylan Crossman, Anne Lentz, Theresa Ling, Ellie Kusner, Rashaun Mitchell, Uta Takemura, Ashlie Kittleson, Christina Amendolia, and Glen Rumsey. Music by Vladimir Martynov and Pavel Karmanov. Original Music by Dan Siegler.
