Alaska

Feb 7 – 9 at 7:30pm
Post-Show Talk Feb 7 with David Sheingold

If the body is made of small containers, each holding a different memory, Alaska is the space that holds every moment from our personal history. Argentinean choreographer Diana Szeinblum’s new work Alaska explores the relationships between four characters and this concept of “interior space.” Expect extreme physical language, complex relationships developed through movement, live original music, and a minimal set.

  • Alaska is supported by Dance Theater Workshop, through the Performing Americas Project, a partnership between the National Performance Network (NPN) and the Network of Cultural Promoters of Latin America and the Caribbean (La RED), designed to increase artistic exchange in the Western Hemisphere. Performing Americas is supported by the NPN through funding provided by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Additional funding is provided by the Ford Foundation for the United States component of the initiative.
