Jill Sigman creates a hallucinatory, channel-flipping reality that asks: what is the "dis-ease" that exists beneath our abundant
American "paradise"? Accompanied by live mixing by DJ joro de boro, ZsaZsaLand is a jumbled hyperbolic world filled
with Roma (gypsy) music and dance, Youtube sound clips, auctions, thugs, and vibrant technicolor flowers.
The Studio Series offers eight artists a year a 100 hour creative residency and the opportunity to research and develop
work in a process-oriented space. Outcomes of this residency are shared through informal public performances throughout
the season, allowing audiences to see the artists' work at different stages of development, in a more intimate space.
