“One of Israel's most promising young choreographers…." - Dance Magazine
Arena is a tight square of light, an area of opposing forces, a game with strict rules and highly organized time. Four characters move in and out of this space, participating in the world created within its walls where reality and imagination are mixed and new realities of life are formed.
- Arena is commissioned by Dance Theater Workshop’s Commissioning and Creative Residency Program with support from the Jerome Foundation, The Ford Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the Jerome Robbins Foundation. This presentation is made possible, in part, by the generous support of Paul Singer through the David R. White Producers Circle.
Dance Theater Workshop performances generally run 60 - 90 minutes without an intermission. Performances start promptly at 7:30pm, there is no late seating.
