Fresh Tracks Performance and Residency Program

Through Fresh Tracks, Dance Theater Workshop provides an opportunity for new artistic voices to gain professional experience and recognition. The Fresh Tracks Performance and Residency Program engages artists directly with peer artists, arts professionals, and Dance Theater Workshop staff in dialogues about their work within the context of the professional contemporary dance and performance field.

In the spring, each member of the group receives a 50 hour creative residency along with introductory level professional development workshops in marketing, fundraising, and career development strategies. Artists also participate in Dialogue sessions facilitating open discussion about their creative process and one-on-one consultations, both with Artistic Advisor Levi Gonzalez.

Auditions are held at Dance Theater Workshop in the early fall. Choreographers and their performers interested in being part of the Fresh Tracks Performance and Residency Program need to be available for all audition, technical rehearsal, and performance dates. Choreographers must also be available for the creative residency and all workshops in the spring to be eligible.
