Commissioning and
Residency Program
Dance Theater Workshop’s dedication to contemporary dance begins with our investment in the creation of new work. Our Commissioning Program provides artists with funds to create new contemporary dance and performance works, and our Residency program provides artists with a technical residency in our theater and the opportunity to engage in dialogues with fellow artists, staff, and audience members about their work. Our commitment to both commissioning support and residency time reaches a wide variety of artists and honors the 26-year history and success of these programs.
