A consummate storyteller, Dorfman dips a ladle into a historical caldron of faith, survival and renewal to reveal her Legacy Project, a celebrated body of work that honors her Eastern European Jewish heritage with its trials and triumphs, its treasured uniqueness and, most importantly, its precious commonalities with the human race. This tour de force evening will feature acclaimed repertory, Cabaret style intimacy and an inside view of her newest work-in-progress, ECHOES a dance/theater work including live performance by Norwegian, Jewish actress/vocalist, Bente Kahan and accompanying ensemble.

Dodge Foundation, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the NEA, the New Jersey Cultural Trust, the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation, the Karma Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and the American Music Center Live Music for Dance Program. These performances are co-produced as part of a collaborative effort by: Gotham Arts Exchange, Solomons Company Dance, Nicholas Andre Dance Theater, Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company, and Zenon Dance Company.
