This year, Dance Theater Workshop celebrates its 44th year with a calendar of 44 original performances that push the boundaries of artistic invention.

The passionate dedication of people like you has made it possible for Dance Theater Workshop to serve as a beacon in the field, providing a single, holistic ecology for artists and audiences, where new ideas can be explored from the studios to the stage.

In recognition of Dance Theater Workshop’s leadership as an international artistic center and a longstanding pioneer for cultural innovation, The Mertz Gilmore Foundation has issued a special challenge.

As the new Executive Director, I am extremely proud of the organization I have been asked to shepherd as it heads towards its half century mark. I sincerely thank you for recognizing its excellence and its importance to the cultural community that matters so much to all of us.
