Kaplan Portraits at Matilda Restaurant

Peggy Jarrell Kaplan is know internationally for her stunning portraits of choreographers and other performing artists including Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, John Cage, William Forsythe, Lucinda Childs, Pina Bausch, and Mark Morris.

Through February 7th a selection of her portraits will be shown at Matilda Restaurant in the East Village.  Matilda is offering a 20% discount on food and drinks (except for tax and gratuity) with the code words: Downtown Dance.

Two of the portrait subjects were photographed around the time they performed at DTW.  This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy Tuscan and Mexican cuisine and admiring the portraits of dance legends.
