Studio Rental

The Dance Theater Workshop studios are available for rehearsals, auditions/classes, showings, and film and video shoots. The studios are available for rental on a first-come, first-served basis, seven days a week
from 10am until 10 pm. Space must be booked in advance.

Studio Specifications

Dance Theater Workshop's Doris Duke Performance Center houses two state-of-the-art rehearsal studios. Each space is approximately 32 feet by 42 feet, and features a custom-built, sprung maplewood dance floor. Both studios have ballet barres, full-length mirrors spanning the interior walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows on the opposing exterior walls. The studios are lit by indirect fluorescent lighting and are equipped with full-range sound systems for playback of cassettes, mini-discs, and CDs. Other amenities include audience seating (approximately 25 chairs per studio) for informal showings, and spacious male and female dressing rooms with sinks, toilets, and lockers.
