Chelsea Cultural Partnership

The Chelsea Cultural Partnership was founded in 2003 by Dance Theater Workshop, the Joyce Theater, and Atlantic Theater Company. It is a coalition of cultural organizations and businesses located in Manhattan’s Chelsea working to increase the public’s participation in, and enjoyment of, Chelsea’s rich cultural and entertainment life. Dance Theater Workshop/Kane School Scholarship for Pilates Training

To support dancers in relation to their physical wellness and financial stability, Dance Theater Workshop created partnerships with local businesses including OM yoga, Power Pilates, and the Kane School of Core Integration. These partnerships offer members free and discounted classes and an opportunity to apply for an exclusive $6,150 scholarship to be certified in Pilates at the Kane School of Core Integration. In addition to the scholarship, Dance Theater Workshop members may attend Kane School Pilates Mat class for 15% off (first class only)!

The LGBT Community Center

Dance Theater Workshop and The Center have partnered for over 15 years, pairing artists with LGBT teens to work closely on multidisciplinary performance projects, culminating in a final performance at The LGBT Community Center. gaycenter.org

Urban Word NYC

Dance Theater Workshop has partnered with Urban Word since 2004, offering intensive workshops in poetry and multidisciplinary performance for young people interested in developing work for the stage. Dance Theater Workshop is also one of the host sites for Urban Word’s Annual Teen Poetry Slam. urbanwordnyc.org
